Between the pages of an educational science book of the Sixties "Wonders of the plant", some photographs of sculptures are inserted, in dialogue with the pre-existing images.
The original book includes a number of photographic enlargements of botanical subjects, which are gradually enlarged in an effort to convey the complexity of plants and their systems. The photographic enlargements actually produce abstract images that, without an exact caption, would hardly be attributable to what they depict.
Normally, vision is attributed a fundamental importance for the understanding of reality. In this case, the distance produced between what is seen and what one seeks to understand is particulary interesting.
The images included in the work follow a similar path. They offer observations, different points of view, particular views in an attempt to restore the complete nature of the small sculptures, in the experiential path that leads to their understanding, through a deductive procedure.
